Artist blends traditional Chinese Jinghu music with modern sounds

The latest episode of the Chinese reality show Chengfeng 2023 featured Professor Wang Caiyun of the Chinese Academy of Traditional Chinese Opera, specializing in Jinghu performance.

Jinghu is a Chinese two-stringed fiddle that is the principal melodic instrument in Peking opera.

Wang co-presented a song and dance performance with five show participants, delivering a dazzling performance featuring traditional elements and a modern music style.
